I remember scenes like this from the 70's, when things were rotten, the city had no money, and they were holding these cars together with baling wire and duct tape. Cars as old as R-3 were still running on the E and GG(it was not the G then), and sometimes F trains in rush hour service. They had a better service record than the R 44's, which were new at the time-1974/75. Great album!!
