| In 1970, Valtionrautatiet ordered 27 electric locomotives from Energomachexport, which were delivered between September 1973 and the end of the year 1975. 82 additional locomotives followed some years later. VR is in progress of selecting a replacement for these Sr1 units. First service of the new units should be in about a year time from now. |
