I've been having so much trouble with terrorist-conscious onlookers calling the police about me taking railroad photos in Westchester that I am looking for new places to go further removed from the NYC area. Is IONA Island a realtively safe bet as far as avoiding police confrontations while railfanning? Can you recommend other places?
