Paul Payton	General	Are you sure, sir? I recall from research that this was simply an overpass; there are photos (one or more in the Roger arcara book, I believe) of the line running on fill over to the North Avenue station. The fill was removed shortly after WWII ended to erect temporary barracks-style housing for returning veterans just west of the concrete carcass of the North Avenue station. The barracks were gone by the mid-1950s and that area and the station fell to become Memorial Highway, a feeder route for the Thruway. A steel viaduct started here and carried the NYW&B across North Avenue to the New Haven mainline, which this branch paralled to its last stop at Port Chester.
