SWEPCO SL-136 1101
South Western Electric Power COmpany (SWEPCO) SL-136 1101 at Alliance Nebraska on March 1, 1984, Kodachrome by Jim Altman, Chuck Zeiler collection. There seems to be some dispute as to the model designation; some say it was a SL-136, some say it was SL-144.

Harry Edmunds General Whatever it was, it had two prime movers as evidenced by the two exhaust stacks. The paint indicates that it may have been a BN locomotive at one time. Does anyone know who made it? ALCO maybe? It's really a neat center-cab switcher. 10/6/2012 1:33:00 PM
