RS 3 rebuild  Contributor's Pick!
Conrail early on did a rebuild program for RS 3s where they took old EMD 567 engines, primarily from E units, rebuilt them and installed them in RS 3 bodies, eventually totalling 100 units. Here one of them pulls a cut of cars at County Road crossing at Croxton Yard. In about two more minutes, the Southern boxcar behind the unit would derail.
