NYC Frontier Yard         
This slide didn't have any information on it, so the date is just a guess. This is a shot of NYC's Frontier yard taken from the Black Rock branch bridge over Broadway. There looks to be 2 alco's in the background working the yard. An S type behind the first Armour yellow box car and an RS type behind the first car on the passenger train. The locomotive #'s in the picture are not legible. They look like 4087 & 4024 but since thats uncertain,i didn't enter them. Still an interesting photo regardless.

Dale Agthe General I passed this area often in the 70s. By then, the Es were PC Black and hauling TOFC trains. Fascinating to see this earlier era. 4/22/2015 2:23:29 AM
