William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks Jeffery, I wanted the Powderly or Lipscomb shot, but had to settle for this shot due to the clouds moved in & blocked the sun only minutes after I got this shot 8/23/2012 12:21:18 AM
Robert Farkas General This looks like a fascinating place to shoot railfan photos. Not only is the train interesting, but so is the trackwork. 8/24/2012 10:22:19 PM
William H. Davis Jr. General Yes, Richard Arrington Overpass is best in the morning & in the afternoon 22nd Street Overpass for best light angles, also the busiest spot to catch both CSXT & NS, but you have to listen out on your scanner for NS'S NA District Traffic & when you hear a train coming from there you can drive about a mile north on 1st Avenue to get to 2nd Avenue where you can shoot the NS trains that come off the NA District, the tracks to the left of the 339 are CSXT's of the Boyles Terminal Sub, #1 track is the far left track, then #2 on CSXT, NS 339 photographed here is on NS #1 main & #2 main is to the right of 339, the far 2 tracks are #1 & #2 High Line that NS uses to interchange with CSXT 8/24/2012 11:20:27 PM
