DMIR 604  Contributor's Pick!
Date and location are educated guesses. This engine now sits in a park in Greenville PA. According to one history book this was scrapped in 1963. Obviously, looking at the rest of the photos, it wasn't. Thanks Alan for this info.

Robert Farkas General As I recall these were originally made for the Union Railroad. How strange to see it is an 0-10-2! 7/13/2012 11:51:50 AM
Tim Darnell General Great find! You now have "then & now" photos! 7/13/2012 4:04:01 PM
Fred Stuckmann General Really cool. 7/15/2012 8:36:05 AM
Alan Fricker General Wendy, I think this is the Proctor yard, Proctor, Minnesota-but I am not certain. I suspect, from the lack of steam, this was taken in 1960 or 1961 since the DMIR was one of the last to dieselize. 8/2/2012 9:36:39 PM
