| Performing contract switching on the old military base. The lead unit is an ex-Missouri Central unit, built in 1951 as an United States Army #1838 as a GP7. It was sold to ARR in 1976 as GP7 #1838. It was retired by ARR in 1998 a GP7 #1801. It went to BDLX as GP7 #1801. In 1999 it went to Midwest Locomotive as GP7u #1801, later in 1999 it became MOC 1800, a GP8. It went back to the lessor and is now RRC 1800! WHEW, WHAT A HISTORY!!! It has ALCO Trucks and flippers on all 4 exhuast stacks! |
