Australian Beauty: QRN CLF-Class CLF-3  Contributor's Pick!
17 CL-class units were built by Clyde/EMD as model AT26C for Commonwealth RY from 1970. They carry a 16-645 for 3300HP and subsequently rebuilt in the early '90s into CLF (freight) and CLP (passenger) configurations. CLF-3 and its three mates in this train still wear Genesee & Wyoming colors but belong to QR National. Their unique design features the final use of EMD's "Bulldog" nose attached to a carbody that looks more like an F-45.
