CSX 5500, Spirit of Cincinnati logo
Taken using zoom. I was not actually that close. I heard about this being around the tri-state area. Little did I know, I'd actually get to photograph it. Seen on a coal train in Connellsville. Delivered as to CSX as a GE ES44DC in April 2007. After a few months, CSX gave it the name "Spirit of Cincinnati" to pay tribute to the city's importance in the history of the railroad and its predecessors. It is now downrated to 4,000 horsepower to save fuel and engine wear.
