PAR 6101         
Pacific Railroad Society car PAR 6101 was originally Union Pacific 6101, one of six UP dormitory-lounge cars (6100-6105) built by American Car & Foundry in 1949. All of the cars were retired in 1970-71. It was photographed on the northbound SOUTHERN CRESCENT leaving New Orleans, and it was eventually assigned Amtrak number 800247. The car appeared in the 1981 movie UNDER THE RAINBOW, and was subsequently named CAJON PASS.
