P signal
I was told that this is a Permissive signal ? A train can pass this red signal, but when the smaller light is lit, they must operate by it on its signal indication.

The P does indicate that this is a permissive signal. If these signals work the same as the ones in GA on the ex-SAL line, when that bottom light comes on, the signal gives an approach medium, indicating that the train will take the siding at the next signal. Which way is this shot facing?

Where are all those SAL Poles??? Guess CSX cut them all down....they were an SAL trademark...duel pole lines on either side of the ROW. Neat shot and the Signal is actually lit up too.
