| Fifty-six seat coach 5680 was built manufactured by Budd as New York Central 2931, and it retained the same number on the Penn Central. It was one of 60 cars (NYC 2900-2959) built in 1946-47, and 52 of them went to Amtrak as the 5630-5635 and 5640-5685. It was photographed on the SOUTHERN CRESCENT leaving New Orleans. |
