Amtrak Slumbercoach 2028 LOCH TARBET was built by Budd in 1959 and was initially leased to the Missouri Pacific as MP 699 SOUTHLAND for operation between Washington and San Antonio. The Baltimore & Ohio also leased a pair of Slumbercoaches for this service, and when the leases expired in 1964 the three cars were sold to the Northern Pacific, where MP 699 became NP 329 LOCH TARBET. After conversion to HEP in 1981, the car was renumbered AMTK 2090. (approximate month)
