Somewhere on RRP is a photo of a 5-person yard crew with all 4 ground men riding the cut on side ladders on different cars. This was something that we used to refer to as "railroading"

And the weather is nice, try a Michigan blizzard and GM is screaming for their dock to be set. The oldtime snipes and brakemen were a different breed.
