| Amtrak E9 432 and some Chicago scenery at 18th Street in Chicago, Illinois on an unknown day in September 1979, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 432 was built in October 1955 as UP E9 959 (c/n 20496) on EMD Order 2072, was sold to Amtrak in July 1972 becoming AMTK 432, retired by Amtrak in 1980, sold to PNC in June 1981 and scrapped. The bridge in the background is the ICG's Saint Charles Air Line. |
