Built as Penn Central GP38-2 7940 (Serial# 7354-1) in May 1972, to Conrail 7940, returned to EMD upon lease expiration and entered to lease pool as EMDX 740, to Iowa Interstate 700. Spotted moving west through downtown Dallas heading for Fort Worth.
