Number 316 was built February 1962 (c/n 27145) on EMD Order 7620, renumbered to 1216 (2nd) in July 1971, Number BU8 was originally equipped with Westinghouse 362 traction motors (68:14 gear ratio) from Baldwin DS4-4-10's and S-12's used as direct trade-in units, later changed to standard EMD traction motors and 62:15 gear ratio. Number 316/1216 was traded to EMD in August 1986 and scrapped by Saint Louis Auto Shredding. |
