IC 3305
Former Illinois Central observation-lounge car 3305 was on the rear of the northbound SOUTHERN CRESCENT at Carrollton Junction. This had been the location of Carrollton Avenue Station, and the paved area next to the train was the remnant of one of the two station platforms. The car was built by the IC in 1947 for service on the CITY OF NEW ORLEANS, and had been owned by the NRHS-New Orleans Chapter; but it was on its way to its new owners, the Roanoke Chapter, when this photo was taken.
