Wichita Falls & Nortwestern
In April 2024 we were going to Denver for my wife to follow up with some doctors there, taking US 412 west to Guymon OK before heading up into Colroado. Near May OK, we encountered some absndoned right of way. I knew from reading Don Hofsommers book Katy Northwest, it was once the Wichita Falls an Northwestern, a road that started in its namesake city, and eventually wound up in the Oklahoma panhandle. While the ROW was mostly difficult to see, the bridges were a dead giveaway. Here are some of the wooden supports in late day sun against a storm light sky.
