NS Northbound Grain Train 59Q pulls away from Aragon, Ga. after 1 hour & 15 minutes delay when 25J got stopped by a dragging equipment detector. Problem was a drawbar dragging on 25J Vehicle Train. Usually delays are not a good thing, but on this day we sorely needed the delay as 59Q ran too early for good light angles where we shot the train, otherwise we'd had to drive farther, also it was overcast before the 1 hour & 15 minute delay & just during that time allowed the clouds to burn off some. Sometimes the railfan gods are with us & sometimes they aren't & I thank them for being with us this day

William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks David, I know I will not forget it. Exhaustion set in after the end of this stressful chase. I'm glad I didn't give up like you & Brian after the clouds blocked the sun at Lindale. Clouds nearly got me again at Oostanaula, but the railfan gods were with me 7/7/2010 12:52:28 PM
David Stewart General We were tired to and I had been up all night, theis made another 24 plus day for me. In better times, we would have went on with it! I'm just happy for what i got, it was worth the fight. 7/7/2010 5:45:33 PM
William H. Davis Jr. General Oh yeah, Well worth it. I'll end up deleting the 1st shot I got at Austell that was terrible compared to the 2 perfect shots I got. I'll just pretend I never shot that Austell shot. I would've only used that if I hadn't gotten to shoot the train anymore, an emergency shot, you know 7/7/2010 5:58:14 PM
