Ringling 140
This was car 140 on the 1975 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey blue train. It was originally Baltimore & Ohio 10-roomette/6-double-bedroom sleeper 7044 MUSCATATUCK, built by Pullman-Standard as a Plan 4167 car in Lot 6864, and placed in service on 8 March 1950. It was retired in 1969 and sold to Ringling Bros. This car had been ordered by the Chesapeake & Ohio in November 1946, but was sold to the B&O in September 1948, before it was built. The car was photographed in the Illinois Central Gulf's Poydras Yard. At that time, the Ringling cars did not wear any reporting mark.
