Times They Are a Changin
"The times they are a changin" sang Bob Dylan in the early 1960s. This was evident with the creation of the Penn Central, and in this late 1968 view, construction is occurring on connecting the former Pennsylvania to the New York Central in Whiting, Indiana. Just west of MS Tower, NYC 4050 and two other E-units are bringing a passenger train eastbound off of the Pennsy and onto NYCs Water Level Route. At the time of the photo, only one track was completed.
