Ted Brumberg	General	Amtrak did not roster a #2238. Both #2237 and #2238 were not used. However, that being said, the car pictured here is one of the SAL 11 double bedroom sleepers built by P-S in 1956, 6 cars total, SAL #70-#75, which were nonsequentially renumbered to SCL #6100-#6105, acquired by Amtrak as #2230-#2235 (sequentially). This car is particular appears to be AMTK #2235, which was the VENICE, ex-SCL #6105, nee-SAL #71. The VENICE was retired in 1977 and sold to private ownership. The VENICE was later assigned #800xxx-series number #800316, and as recently as 2010 was still in active charter use in Michigan: http://rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2223959. I have noted the VENICE as listed for sale on Ozark Mountain Railcar, so its possible that the car's ownership and location have since changed.	11/3/2014 12:06:53 AM
