T Towler General The entire IC mainline between Chicago and New Orleans was double track until 1991 ( except where 2 separate routes existed: cairo-fulton which was single tracked in the 60's, and memphis-jackson) There is still a 6 mile stretch of double track from Gilman south to Delrey 2/11/2011 9:59:39 PM
