SBD Train 402         
Seaboard System train No. 402 prepares to leave the former L&N Gentilly Yard behind former L&N GP40 6821, SCL U36B's 1832 and 1834, ex-L&N GP40 6807 and former Georgia GP40 6790. This was a run-through train from Houston to Jacksonville via the Espee, and was briefly identified as FNSJA when this photo was taken.

Earl Hampton General Yeah, that didn't last long......that sulphur car block came off KCS. Now they run solid sulphur trains back and forth to UP. And at least two of the five engines have their original number! I would love to see a set like this today. Best I can get is a pair of GP40-2s on the local. 7/16/2010 11:57:59 AM
