William H. Davis Jr. General It stopped for an NS local coming off the NA District, then stopped briefly at 14th Street just for about 5 minutes waiting on a signal, then after this shot I had to quickly head to Powderly where I barely beat the 183 for my final shot. The train speeds have picked up through 14th Street, for a long time it was very easy to get ahead of trains due to the 10 MPH on both NS & CSXT. Now CSXT can do 20 MPH & NS I believe is 30 MPH. When intermodals get over 14th Street they can do 60 MPH now through Powderly where used to they would only do about 30 or so. NS made speed improvements between 14th Street & Bessemer 12/21/2009 12:37:28 AM
