William H. Davis Jr. General So do I Cody, I agree. I wish all the Railroads wouldn't repaint all their predecessors but that's what happens when a railroad takes over another 12/20/2009 9:22:32 PM
Olaf Junges General Amazing shot, great sky, a feast for the eyes!!! 12/21/2009 5:36:50 PM
William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks Olaf, I got very lucky on this shot. I decided to follow the train in hopes of getting ahead of the storm because I could see the sun was out south of Dalhart where the train was headed. Where I tried to shoot this train in Dalhart I was in darkness. As you can see from the darkness of the clouds it was almost like night when the storm hit & the sun hadn't come close to setting yet. I wound up filming back to back coal trains in this light. Getting rewarded with shots like these is why I never give up when the weather's bad. You never know when you'll be in the right place at the right time & get a sucker hole in the clouds for the sun to peek through or in this case drive ahead of the storm. 12/21/2009 9:32:18 PM
