William H. Davis Jr.	General	Yes, especially back then when UP ran both north & south through Hoxie. Now UP runs the Southbounds through Jonesboro, Ar. on the old SSW ( Cotton Belt ) while the northbound traffic runs on the old MOPAC. Sometimes you will still see some bidirectional movements, but for the most part they run southbounds through Jonesboro, Ar. & northbounds through Hoxie, Ar. The delays were too much with BNSF'S Thayer Sub as well as the heavy traffic that ran on UP then. Still a good place to go just just with BNSF'S Thayer Sub alone. I used to drive to Jonesboro in the afternoon for the southbounds on UP after the northbound light on UP would go backlit & still be able to film BNSF at Joneboro. Both Jonesboro & Hoxie are railroad crossings at grade ( diamonds )	10/22/2009 3:01:29 PM
