| This is Centerville WA, population about 120, located in Klickitat County. It was milepost 35.3 on the BN (SP&S) Goldendale Branch. This view, looking to the southeast, shows the Klickitat Valley Grain Grower's elevator as well as the other trappings of a small town of this region- a few houses, a church and the school. This line was actually abandoned in 1992, two years before the picture was token, but it still shows the path the rails took through town. Goldendale, the end of the branch, is just over 6 miles to the east. |
