KXHR 1007 (SW 1), prior to restoration in full Southern Railway livery, rests         
Built in April 1947 as Atlantic & East Carolina #9 (builder #4582). When the A&EC was taken over by the Southern Railway in 1958, unit was repainted in Southern colors and renumbered as 404. Sometime between 1972 and 1976, Southern renumbered it as #1007.
