The World's Fair train headed west to New Orleans makes a station stop in Gentilly, LA after departing Biloxi, MS. This train would eventually become the east leg of the Sunset Limited.

Greg Slaton General This was the East New Orleans, LA Amtrak stop, located at Crowder Rd and the tracks(behind the fruit stand). Station cost about $100,000 to build(paid for by World's Fair), designed by the late architect/rail advocate Charles Apffel. Stop was only used for the original GCL, 4/84-1/85. 3/24/2010 10:52:07 AM
