| BN SD40-2 6801 at West Burlington on Iowa, October 22, 1983, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. You'll have to take my word about the road number, I probably saw it chalked on the frame somewhere. I shot several slides of this locomotive and all are marked as #6801. Built in March 1973 (c/n 72639-02) as BN 6341, a Locotrol Master Unit. It is seen here 10 years after being built, the occasion was a Burlington Route Historical Society Meet in Burlington, Iowa, and we were allowed a tour of the shops at West Burlington. |
