Western Yeoman II  Contributor's Pick!
When I returned to England for a cousins wedding I got the chance to visit the Yeoman Quarry, quite an experience! Yeoman employed a BR Class 08 along with this American built EMD SW1001. This engine was the first EMD to be exported to England. Yeoman wanted an EMD like the SD-45. They were given an SW1001 to see if they liked EMDs, they did and ordered several Class 59s and Class 66s which are built by EMD in Canada.
