A Tear In The Historic Fabric
Originally, County Road 15 paralelled the Dakota Rail line west right into downtown Mound. Junctioning with County 110 down at the Crow Wing State Bank (visible in the left background of this photo). However, a road project done after abandonment but before trail construction resulted in the loss of a good chunk of roadbed for the old Hutch branch when 15 was re-routed to a new junction with 110. How tracks could ever be re-installed at this location is anyones guess.
