William H. Davis Jr. General Nice shot, Correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but my guess is that the M symbol stands for manifest. It could be that the A- is auto parts. L- is local trains G- is grain trains. Q- is intermodals. E- is vehicles C- is coal. That's about all I can come up with for now, but I do have a CN book that has train symbols in it that I can refer to 8/30/2008 9:47:17 AM
