Jerry LaBoda General This car is C&O 15. The C&O 3 car never had corrugation. 8/31/2008 5:14:57 AM
Marty Bernard General A note from Bill Howes ... At the time, we kept most of the cars assigned to Baltimore officers at Washington. However, we deadheaded the C&O 15 (assigned to E.T. Rucker, AVP Transportation) from Washington to Baltimore on 1/17/69, and the C&O 7 (W.K. Weaver, General Manager Operations) along with private car "Quick Step" on 1/18/69. I believe this was due to a need to clear space at Washington Union Station for the presidential inauguration of Richard Nixon 1/20/69. The "Quick Step" moved back to Washington 1/21/69 for further in-service movement that same day on the George Washington to Cincinnati. C&O business cars 15, 7 and 2 (C.V. Cowan, VP Operations; a car generally kept in Baltimore) deadheaded 1/22/69 to Washington for occupied movement that evening on B&O Train 7, the Shenandoah, to Pittsburgh. 10/18/2010 6:11:22 PM
