A rolling Santa Fe locomotive 303C appears in Terrence Malick's great motion picture, "Badlands", released in 1973. Commenters on IMDb claim an anachronism: Amtrak passenger cars are being pulled by the 303C, but the movie depicts events in late 1950s to early 1960s, when Amtrak did not exist.
