CSX 6899
By the time I got through eating dinner, the local crew had tied down on the house track. Notice the several rounded edges on the cab, the wierd notches above the headlight and numberboards, and a very nice looking 5-chime. I also notice former placement of class lights... what is the heritage of this guy?

Steve E General Looks like ex SP unit with their light package. The notch above the headlight would be for a red gyralight, the one above the cab for a white gyralight . Most unusual rounded edges, and the canted cab windshield looking like Alcos 7/2/2008 8:16:58 PM
Steve E General Could also be an ex Alaska unit, as they had light packages also 7/2/2008 8:19:11 PM

Maddie Farnsworth General The 5 chime (K5LA) was definitly put on by CSX. Everyone else has it right, it's an ex EMD Demo that was built to SP specs and leased to SP. 7/3/2008 11:51:00 PM
