| Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad E9 9989B eastbound at Naperville, Illinois on December 8, 1964, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in January 1956 ( c/n 20542 ) on EMD Order 2071A for 10 E9's, this was the last E9 built for the CB&Q. It later became BN 9984, was sold to the West Suburban Mass Transit District August 18, 1972, was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in August 1973, becoming 9914, leased to the BN for operation, retired in 1992 and sold to the CN. |
