Seoul Station
Seoul, South Korea- the nation's capital and home to over 10 million people. The dome in the background is the city's original station and dates from Japanese rule. The expansive, white building to the right of it is the new station, a modern affair complete with a mall. The facility is bright and clean- this in a city where things like graffiti are almost completely unheard of. Here an electric unit pulls a passenger train north out of town. Trailing the seven cars is a diesel-equipped auxiliary power car which seems to be on all of Korail's conventional passenger trains.

Tommy Warshaw General Looks to be roughly the same loco type as the ALP46s that NJ Transit uses. Nice to see some newer power. Certainly a different view here than when I was train watching in Seoul back in '03. 9/25/2010 7:23:25 PM
