| In the summer of 1988 business allowed me to make my third annual "last chance to shoot Katy" trip; this time I went to central Texas, where I found this train, pulling grain south at Elgin Tx, a point on the MKT main due east of Austin. The lead unit is one of the former Kennecott GP39-2s. It was about this time my companion told me I was standing on a fire ant mound- but that's another story. |
