Description:  We had just gotten back from a trip to Rogers for lunch/shopping, and I had just finished putting the stuff away, when I heard a horn from what sounded like a northbound. Lately, it seems every time I set foot outside, theres a train. This was the first sunny day in about a week, so out the door I went. The quarry turned out to be a northbound empty American Electric Power train returning from Texas, seen here at Davidson Rd, all four units up front of its 124 cars.

Title:  Along the rocks
Description:  The empty coal train rolls below Butler Bluff as it heads to a meet with the 262, which is waiting in the siding. Leader UP 5888 is a recent repaint, now in the small cab side flag, and no wings on the nose scheme. Too bad. The large flag was a good look, but got pretty ratty as it wore. But the nose wings were an elegant touch, harkening back to a storied past.
