Southern Pacifics Taylor Yard near downtown Los Angeles hosted an impressive deadline of stored power in the mid-1970s. A wide variety of power was sitting with capped stacks, including C415s, DD35s, GP9s, GP20s, GP30s, GP35s, GP40s, U25Bs, U28Bs, U28Cs, U30Cs, U33Cs and U50s. Many of these would be returned to service when the economy improved. |
