Description:  I sat in Elgin for about an hour and a half with nothing happening. Crews go OD out of Celina around 7 AM, but it was obvious no one was going to show up here. I did begin hearing crackles over the RJC frequency though, so I knew something must be happening in Celina today. Sure enough, as I got into town, I found WL30 heading east with both engines bracketing two box cars. I set up my first shot by the bracket signal at Villa Nova.

Description:  WL30 passes the water tower on the east side of Saint Marys. RJC 5561 recently replaced RJC 1731 on this operation. While the GP38-2 definitely isnt as cool as a GP16 with an RS3L, it is clean, and Ill take that.

Description:  About 2 miles west of Buckland lies another bracket signal. Honestly could not have asked for a better set up for it. I shot this train back in 2021, and the head on the bracket was facing the tracks. Someone has gone up there and turned it the other direction.
