Three more veteran units stored north of the University Avenue bridge sit in Northtown awaiting their fate. I will miss these switchers. I have fond memories of them at Union and Midway yards in happier times. The snowplow apparently still has a future, though, as it still retains its BN reporting mark. |

This bizarre looking creature, spotted in CR's former NYC Sharonville engine terminal, was an M-K rebrild of UP U25B 630, using a 16-567B engine from a retired B&O F7A and a custom nose and hood. I think the correct model designation is TE53-4E. Mechanically similar to the rebuilt U25Bs hn the OC&E, but quite different in appearance. Date of photo approximate. |
