| Description: |
Rumbling through Mingo Jct. elephant-style is a C430-GP9-RSD12-GP7 set in matching dirty black. An anonymous person was kind enough to write "Conrail" in the dirt under 2055's cab number. David H. Hamley photo, from the Ralph L. Phillips collection of the Bay State Model Railroad Museum. |

Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #8670 and #8659. Both are AS-18AM's built by the American Locomotive Company in 1958 and rated at 1,800 horsepower each. They are pulling a mixed-cargo freight train and are about to pass by the Passenger Station on their way into the Hollidaysburg Yards. (The bicycle in the right foreground was my main means of transportation during my early days of train watching and photographing.) |

| Description: |
AHC. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide that was taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1967. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8659, #8667, and another unit whose road number is not recorded.
