Description:  UP B23-7 148 at Cotter, Arkansas on June 23, 1990, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 148 was built in December 1979 as MP 2337 (c/n 42698), renumbered in 1980 to 4648, renumbered again to UP 148 on August 30, 1988, retired by the UP on November 30, 2004, and became the core for UPY GG20GE 2303, which was released for service on October 12, 2005.

Description:  The slide is labeled "Fults" but it could be anywhere in that general area on what is now UP's Chester sub. If you have a better handle on the location, please let me know. MP 4648 was later UP 148, and is believed to be one of the ex-Mopac B23-7s sent to Mexico, and rebuilt by Ferrovias Mexicanas S.A. de C.V., San Luis Potosi, with 3'0" gauge (.914m) C-C trucks in August, 2007 for the Carbones de Cesar Railway in Colombia. Date of photo approximate.
